п»їNFL Week 13 picks, odds, how to watch, stream: Lamar Jackson leads Ravens past 49ers, Steelers upset Browns.
Jackson will further strengthen his MVP argument with a win over the NFC's best team.
Not bad, but not good enough.
That's how I'm summing up my Week 12 NFL picks and predictions . While a 10-4 mark is nothing to sneeze at, I failed to match the success I had the previous week , when I nailed 12 of my 14 Week 11 picks. The Texans, Jets, Seahawks and Titans were among the teams that rewarded my faith in them, but the Patriots and 49ers made me look foolish for picking them to fall to inferior teams at home.
Before we get into this week's picks, I want to wish everyone a great -- and safe -- Thanksgiving. Enjoy the turkey, the stuffing, the pumpkin pie, and of course, the football.
Ready or not, here are my NFL Week 13 picks and predictions.
Chicago (5-6) at Detroit (3-7-1)
Thursday, 12:30 p.m. ET (Fox, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Bears -1.
After initially leaning toward the Lions, I'm reversing field and going with the Bears on the strength of their fourth ranked scoring defense. Chicago's offense, a unit that has struggled for much of the season, should be able to have just enough success against a Detroit defense that is 30th in pass defense and 24th against the run.
The pick: Bears 24, Lions 21.
Buffalo (8-3) at Dallas (6-5)
Thursday, 4:30 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Dallas -7.
After a tough loss in Foxboro, the Cowboys respond with their first win this season over a team with a winning record. Dallas will ride the legs of Ezekiel Elliott, who rushed for 86 yards on 21 carries against New England's vaunted defense. Elliott should help open things up for Dak Prescott, who will need a nice game to strengthen his MVP consideration.
The pick: Cowboys 27, Bills 20.
The Ravens dominated the Rams for their seventh straight win, and there's a lot to go over. Will Brinson and the Pick Six Podcast Superfriends break everything down from the game and much more. Listen below and be sure to subscribe for daily NFL goodness fired into your eardrums.
New Orleans (9-2) at Atlanta (3-8)
Thursday, 8:30 p.m. ET (NBC, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Saints -7.
The Saints are coming off an ugly home win over the Panthers, while the Falcons -- after two straight wins -- came back to earth in a home loss to the Buccaneers. Expect a big day from quarterback Drew Brees, who will be going up against the NFL's 27th ranked pass defense.
The pick: Saints 31, Falcons 24.
Green Bay (8-3) at New York Giants (2-9)
1 p.m. ET (Fox, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Packers -6.5.
Green Bay, coming off its worst loss of the season, will rebound on the road against a Giants team that has lost seven straight games. A week after facing the 49ers' formidable defense, Aaron Rodgers and company will look to take advantage of a Giants defense that is 26th in the NFL against the pass and 22nd against the run. New York has also allowed 28 points per game, the 29th highest total in football.
The pick: Packers 28, Giants 21.
Washington (2-9) at Carolina (5-6)
1 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Panthers -10.
The Panthers, losers of three straight games, will try to get back to .500 with a win over Washington, who on Sunday won their first game with Dwayne Haskins as a starter. While the Redskins are coming into Charlotte with momentum, Christian McCaffrey will propel the Panthers to a win while keeping his team's faint playoff hopes alive. I do see Haskins having success in this game, specifically when throwing to fellow rookie and former college teammate, Terry McLaurin, who leads the Redskins with five touchdown receptions.
The pick: Panthers 34, Redskins 21.
San Francisco (10-1) at Baltimore (9-2)
1 p.m. EST (Fox, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Ravens -4.
San Francisco has struggled with mobile quarterbacks this season. Cardinals rookie Kyler Murray had two impressive games against them, while Russell Wilson handed the 49ers their only loss. I don't think San Francisco will fare any better against the NFL's most versatile quarterback in Lamar Jackson, who will strengthen his case to be the league's MVP by handing San Francisco its second loss.
The pick: Ravens 24, 49ers 20.
Tennessee (6-5) at Indianapolis (6-5)
1 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Colts -2.5.
The Titans, who lost to the Colts back in Week 2, are 4-1 with Ryan Tannehill as their starting quarterback. While I'm tempted to go with the Colts at home, I'll ride the hot hand and pick the Titans in a game that could determine which of these two teams will challenge Houston for the AFC South division crown during the final month of the regular season.
The pick: Titans 19, Colts 17.
Philadelphia (5-6) at Miami (2-9)
1 p.m. EST (Fox, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Eagles -8.
While the Dolphins are no longer a guaranteed win, I don't see the Eagles -- who are desperate after losing at home to the Seahawks -- losing in Miami. Expect Philadelphia to pound the ball against the league's 31st ranked run defense, which should led to some nice numbers for running back Miles Sanders, who replaced an injured Jordan Howard in the starting lineup last week. I also expect the Eagles to give some carries to Jay Ajayi, who will be going up against his former team for the first time.
The pick: Eagles 24, Dolphins 13.
Tampa Bay (4-7) at Jacksonville (4-7)
1 p.m. EST (Fox, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Jaguars -1.5.
Two years removed from boasting the NFL's best defense, the Jaguars now have one of the NFL's worst defensive units after allowing 75 points over the past two games. Unless they can force Jameis Winston into some poor decisions, I don't see the Jaguars defeating a Buccaneers team that has played well since their Week 7 bye.
The pick: Buccaneers 31, Jaguars 23.
New York Jets (4-7) at Cincinnati (0-11)
1 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Jets -4.5.
Le'Veon Bell has yet to rush for over 100 yards during his first year with the Jets. That should change on Sunday, as Bell -- who has two career 100-yard games against the Bengals -- will go up against a Bengals defense that allowed Steelers rookie Benny Snell to rush for 98 yards in last Sunday's loss to Pittsburgh.
The pick: Jets 23, Bengals 14.
Cleveland (5-6) at Pittsburgh (6-5)
1 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Browns -1.5.
The Browns should beat the Steelers on Sunday, two weeks after defeating Pittsburgh by 14 points at home on "Thursday Night Football." Cleveland, with Kareem Hunt in the lineup, has won three straight games, as the Browns' offense is starting to play up to its potential. That being said, I believe the Steelers' defense will have success forcing turnovers against the Browns and Baker Mayfield, who has thrown nearly as many interceptions (13) as touchdown passes (14) this season. Pittsburgh will need another solid day from rookie running back Benny Snell (98 yards on 21 carries) if James Conner's injured shoulder keeps him on the shelf for another week.
The pick: Steelers 16, Browns 14.
Los Angeles Rams (6-5) at Arizona (3-7-1)
4:05 p.m. (Fox, fuboTV , try for free) Point spread: Rams -3.5.
The reeling Rams are the perfect Week 13 opponent for the Cardinals, who will be fresh coming off their Week 12 bye. Fans should expect strong performances by quarterback Kyler Murray and running back Kenyan Drake, who combined to rush for 134 yards and a score in Arizona's near upset of the 49ers in Week 11.
The pick: Cardinals 21, Rams 20.
Oakland (6-5) at Kansas City (7-4)
4:25 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Chiefs -9.5.
A week after getting punched in the mouth by the Jets, I think the Raiders will put up a fight in Kansas City against a Chiefs team that is 30th in the NFL against the run. That being said, I'm riding with Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, who should be fresh and ready for their stretch run after having a late bye.
The pick: Chiefs 28, Raiders 24.
Los Angeles Chargers (4-7) at Denver (3-8)
4:25 p.m. ET ( CBS, CBS All Access ) Point spread: Chargers -2.
In a game between two evenly matched teams, I'll go with the Broncos at home against a Chargers team that in the midst of a disappointing season. Phillip Rivers and the Chargers are capable of beating the Broncos on the road, but I believe Denver's second ranked red zone defense will be the difference against the Chargers' 26th ranked red zone offense.
The pick: Broncos 17, Chargers 16.
New England (10-1) at Houston (7-4)
8:20 p.m. EST (NBC) Point spread: Patriots -3.
As much as I'd like to pick Deshaun Watson and the Texans at home, Houston's inability to get to the quarterback (they're 29th in the NFL in sacks), along with their defense's 31st and 32nd league standings in third down and red zone defense, are the main reasons why I'm rolling with Tom Brady and the Patriots this week. Oh, the Patriots' top-ranked defense isn't a bad reason to pick them, either.
The pick: Patriots 27, Texans 20.
Minnesota (8-3) at Seattle (9-2)
Monday, 8:15 p.m. (ESPN) Point spread: Seahawks -3.
In a game between two of the NFC's top teams, I'm going with the Seahawks at home while continuing to put the pressure on the 49ers for the NFC West division crown. Kirk Cousins should have success throwing against Seattle's 29th ranked pass defense, but I don't see him out-dueling Russell Wilson, who is among the front-runners to take home the league's MVP award. Third downs will be key in this game, as Minnesota's ninth ranked third down offense will be going up against Seattle's ninth ranked third down defense. This one's going to be good.
The pick: Seahawks 23, Vikings 20.

Consider this a one-stop shop guide to picking every (or at least the majority) game correctly.

NFL picks, predictions for Week 13: Steelers shut down Browns; Vikings clip Seahawks; Packers rebound.
NFL picks and predictions never get easier, but we've reached the point of the 2019 season where some of the actual results are irrelevant. That's the case for the handful of teams that have already turned their attention to next year's draft before the final month of the season.
So while many might not care about who wins Chargers vs. Broncos, Buccaneers vs. Jaguars or Jets vs. Bengals, for example, those games still feature some tricky point spreads that complicate our picks.
NFL picks, predictions for Week 13.
Cleveland Browns (-2 1/2) at Pittsburgh Steelers.
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS.
Their meeting a couple weeks ago was posed as one of the biggest Browns-Steelers games in years, and yet the rematch (for obvious reasons) feels even bigger despite its getting flexed into an early Sunday afternoon kickoff time. For so many reasons, Cleveland should win this game and complete its season sweep of Pittsburgh. But the Steelers keep pulling off head-scratching wins thanks to astute coaching, and let's not forget their defense gave Baker Mayfield and Co. fits for most of that Thursday night game. The lack of Myles Garrett, a non-factor in the Miami game, will hurt Cleveland against Pittsburgh.
Pick : Steelers 20, Browns 17.
San Francisco 49ers at Baltimore Ravens (-5 1/2)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, Fox.
The 49ers and Ravens are like the two Spiderman figures pointing at each other in that meme, both feeling great about themselves after their respecitve blowout wins in prime-time games last week. Baltimore, though, has to feel a little better considering how easy Lamar Jackson is making NFL football look. San Francisco has the best defensive front in the league, but QBs who can escape the rush have given the 49ers fits this season. Another factor working in the Ravens' favor: This is a long road trip for the road team playing in an early Sunday afternoon window. Jackson will wake up the 49ers, but by then it will be too late.
Pick : Ravens 28, 49ers 24.
Green Bay Packers (-7) at New York Giants.
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, Fox.
Green Bay's clunker in San Francisco last week could be a blessing in disguise, because otherwise, this tricky game in New York might have been overlooked by a team thinking about the NFC playoffs rather than its own issues. The Giants keep losing games but giving their opponents legitimate fights, and the Packers' run defense will struggle at times against Saquon Barkley. New York's struggling defense, though, won't be able to hold off Green Bay long enough for anything on the other side of the ball to matter.
Pick : Packers 28, Giants 23.
Philadelphia Eagles (-8 1/2) at Miami Dolphins.
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, Fox.
This is the first of a handful of games that present the Eagles, despite their struggles of late, a solid chance to stay in the NFC East and wild-card races. They draw the hapless Dolphins ahead of games against the equally hapless Giants and Redskins before that big Cowboys game in Week 16. It goes without saying that Philadelphia can't afford to slip in Miami, and it won't.
Pick : Eagles 27, Dolphins 13.
Washington Redskins at Carolina Panthers (-10)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS.
While Carolina remains a factor in the NFC wild-card race (for now), its loss in New Orleans last week all but eliminated it from the division race. The Panthers, though, have plenty to play for if they want to save coach Ron Rivera's job. On the heels of two straight maddening losses, they will take out their frustrations on the Redskins. Beyond Derrius Guice against Carolina's struggling run defense, Washington doesn't pose much of a threat to the home team. After all, the Redskins' rush defense is even worse, which is good news for Christian McCaffrey fantasy owners.
Pick : Panthers 24, Redskins 10.
New York Jets (-3 1/2) at Cincinnati Bengals.
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS.
The Jets are on fire, and even though the Bengals have been feisty in their last couple losses, there's no reason to think the NFL's worst team will slow New York's roll. Hiding in the shadow of Sam Darnold's strong play is a Jets defense that dominated its opponents of late. That unit will continue its own hot streak against the league's second worst scoring offense.
Pick : Jets 27, Bengals 17.
Tennessee Titans at Indianapolis Colts (-3)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, CBS.
We've reached the AFC South toss-up game of the week. Naturally, when the Titans faced a divisional toss-up last week against the Jags, they blew out their division rival. In theory, considering the Colts are still without Marlon Mack and the Titans have Derrick Henry rolling, Tennessee should have an edge with the better rushing attack and, statistically, the better defense. In this division, with both teams looking to keep pace with the leading Texans, that might not matter. We'll take the Titans and a pick with which we have zero confidence.
Pick : Titans 24, Colts 21.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Jacksonville Jaguars (-1 1/2)
Sunday, 1 p.m. ET, Fox.
Much of this game will depend on the unpredictable play of quarterbacks Jameis Winston and Nick Foles, but the ground games will be a major factor, too. The Buccaneers will try their bad rushing attack against the Jaguars' bad rushing defense. The Jaguars will try their good rushing attack against the Buccaneers' good rushing defense. The winner will be the team that prevails in those matchups and also commits fewer turnovers. We can't trust Jameis Winston with the latter.
Pick : Jaguars 24, Buccaneers 22.
Los Angeles Rams (-4) at Arizona Cardinals.
Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET, Fox.
The laws of the NFL state that a team coming off an embarrassing loss typically bounces back the next week, and it doesn't get much more embarrassing than what happened to the Rams on Monday night against the Ravens. Kyler Murray will give Los Angeles issues similar to those presented by Lamar Jackson, and Arizona is the fresher team coming off its bye. But top-to-bottom talent will win out in a game the Rams are desperate to win.
Pick : Rams 30, Cardinals 20.
Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs (-10)
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS.
The dream that is a Raiders playoff berth is alive, but in terms of the AFC West race, this matchup against the hungry Chiefs is bad timing for Oakland. Jon Gruden will have his team fired up after it was embarrassed in New York, and Oakland's offense will give Kansas City fits. But the Chiefs are healthy coming out of their bye week, and the Raiders won't have any answers for Patrick Mahomes.
Pick : Chiefs 35, Raiders 24.
Los Angeles Chargers (-1) at Denver Broncos.
Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET, CBS.
This has the makings of an ugly, relatively pointless and frustrating-to-watch game for two teams that might be better off looking at the updated 2020 NFL Draft order rather than the 2019 NFL playoff picture. The Chargers' defense is actually better than the Broncos' unit, and somehow Philip Rivers will need to win the game with a last-minute drive. This time, he'll succeed.
Pick : Chargers 20, Broncos 17.
New England Patriots (-3) at Houston Texans.
Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET, NBC.
In some seasons, a game like this might be an upset alert, as the Patriots typically suffer a few losses that make observers doubt whether they're true Super Bowl contenders. Yet New England is 10-1 thanks to its league-best scoring defense, a unit that is capable of containing MVP-caliber quarterbacks not named Lamar Jackson. Deshaun Watson will make his share of plays as usual; just not enough of them.
Pick : Patriots 23, Texans 20.
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks (-3)
Monday, 8:15 p.m. ET, ESPN.
Week 13 ends with a dandy of a toss-up between NFC playoff contenders, and depending on what happens elsewhere in the NFL on Sunday, the winner of this game might have a chance to take a major leap in the playoff picture. The Seahawks have a couple advantages as the home team with the better quarterback, but the Vikings, healthier coming out of their bye week, have advantages virtually everywhere else. Dalvin Cook will frustrate Seattle's defense, and Kirk Cousins will earn another prime-time win on the road.

Week 13 NFL picks against the spread: 49ers vs. Ravens, Browns vs. Steelers, more – 12/1/2019.
After fattening up on a Thanksgiving feast, let’s see if we can fatten up our wallets up as well with Sunday’s Week 13 NFL picks.
Week 13 NFL Monday Night Football prop bets and picks: Minnesota Vikings vs. Seattle Seahawks.
Week 13 NFL picks.
San Francisco 49ers at Baltimore Ravens (-5.5, 45.5 over/under), Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (FOX/NFL Sunday Ticket)
I made the mistake of picking against the Baltimore Ravens this past Monday and was rewarded with a 45-6 reminder of why I won’t be making that mistake again Sunday.
At this point, it’s best to ride the Ravens until this current hot streak comes to an end.
The Ravens have won seven in a row, but it’s in the last five games where Baltimore has really shined –winning in those five games by an average margin of victory of 28.0 points.
It’s not as though the Ravens have been beating up on bad teams. Among the wins the Ravens have racked up in recent weeks have come against the 9-2 Seattle Seahawks, 10-1 New England Patriots, 7-4 Houston Texans, and 6-5 Los Angeles Rams.
If anyone can stop Lamar Jackson and the streaking Ravens, perhaps it’s the San Francisco 49ers.
Then again, the same was said of many of those same teams mentioned above.
Laying 5.5 points against a 10-1 team isn’t ideal, and maybe the Ravens are getting a bit too much respect here, but there are worse risks you can take Sunday when making your Week 13 NFL picks.
Cleveland Browns (-2, 39.5 over/under) at Pittsburgh Steelers, Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (CBS/NFL Sunday Ticket)
Did I miss something here? Did Myles Garrett hit the bookmakers over the head with his helmet?
How are the Cleveland Browns only -2 against a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is starting Delvin Hodges at quarterback and has seen No. 1 wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster miss practice this week with a knee injury and starting running back James Conner limited with a shoulder injury?
The Browns appear to have righted the ship of late, winning their last three games – including a 21-7 win over these same Steelers just two weeks ago.
Odell Beckham Jr. is currently questionable with a groin injury, so maybe that’s part of the reason for the low line, but I’m still willing to take my chances with the Browns here.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-1, 47.5 over/under) at Jacksonville Jaguars, Sunday at 1 p.m. ET (FOX/NFL Sunday Ticket)
The Jacksonville Jaguars have lost their last three games by a combined score of 101-36 – and they weren’t even as close as those scores would indicate.
However, those three losses came away from home with two on the road and one a designated home game in London.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have dropped five of their last seven, so it’s not as though the 1985 Chicago Bears are coming to town Sunday. The Bucs also happen to be 3-8 against the spread this season.
It’s not asking a whole lot of the Jaguars to win, and you are getting a point. Perhaps Nick Foles finally settles in here, playing his first game at home since Week 1, and leads the offense to a bounce-back performance.
Los Angeles Rams (-3, 47.5 over/under) at Arizona Cardinals, Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX/NFL Sunday Ticket)
It’s hard to have much confidence in the Los Angeles Rams these days. The Rams aren’t as bad as Monday’s 45-6 loss to the Ravens, but this is currently a team that looks nothing like the squad that made it to the Super Bowl last year.
The one thing the Arizona Cardinals have going for them is their offense, which also happens to be the Rams’ downfall of late.
Rams quarterback Jared Goff has looked more like a rookie than Cardinals rookie quarterback Kyler Murray in recent weeks. Goff has also been troubled by a battered offensive line, meaning Cardinals linebacker Chandler Jones could create a lot of matchup problems for Los Angeles. Jones ranks second in the NFL in sacks (12.5).
